Re: Web radio station x-dante config help
Think of sources, inputs, and channels as three separate things. Sources are your mics\cell phone etc. Inputs are the physical sockets on the console to which they're connected. Channels add processing to these inputs. A full size X32 can have 169 sources connected to it at once, but only has the pr...

Re: X32 rack + SD16 + DN4816-o for 32 outputs
Signals that appear on the stagebox's ultranet socket get there via AES50 33-48. In theory you could do 16x DOs from channels at the In\LC tap point (clean as possible in this menu, though still includes polarity inversion and line delay) in the ultranet menu for one DN4816-o connected to the consol...

Re: L/R Mix levels
If you're running the console exclusively for monitors then running ch>bus sends post fader can make sense. You can set the levels to unity in LR, then adjust on an individual bus level. Then, if you want to adjust the level of one channel in all buses, you can adjust it in the LR mix, and you'll af...

Yes, the first screenshot taken from the ipad won't get you what you need to the DP48. The second one will.

Re: Behringer XR32 with two S16 and Midas DP48
Assuming you're trying to run the DP48 from the B socket of the console. The signals from the S16 preamps arrive on the console's A socket. The Routing>AES50B tab defines signals going from the console to the DP48. If you want signals from the S16 preamps to go the DP48, you need to set Outputs 1-32...

Re: Gain question
If you're peaking at -18dB you're just wasting headroom, in theory at the expense of signal-to-noise and clarity. As long as you've got headroom for transients without clipping you could set your gains a bit higher. I'd be aiming for a "performance level" signal to be averaging at about -1...

Re: Slliders 9 - 16 provide no control
Set the left fader bank to bus1-16 and the right fader bank to bus 9-16 (so that both the last 8 faders on the left and the 8 faders on the right are both showing bus9-16.) When adjusting the bus9-16 faders on the right fader bank, do the bus9-16 faders on the left fader bank move too? If not it sou...

Re: "Inserting" KT76 Compressors
Double check that you haven't accidentally engaged the pad on the KT76, and that the meter is displaying the right thing and has been calibrated (screw on the back.) You can go setup>preamps and use the gain splitting option to expose the channel's digital trim, which can give you an extra-+18dB of ...

Re: Digital splitter - help and advice needed.
The signals would be going to the DN4016 from the Ultranet cable…all the guys in the band use DP48’s which means we get the signal from the AES50 cable…so if anyone adjusts a level of an instrument in their monitor mix it would not affect the signal going to FOH have I got that correct? If you're o...

Re: Digital splitter - help and advice needed.
Using a pad to attenuate the line-level signal being sent to FOH would in theory give the FOH engineer more headroom. That's not the main issue though. The issue is that because the signal is split after your X32\SD8 preamp, the signal that FOH receives from you is post preamp, and is therefore affe...
