Re: X32 monitor dim applied to meter ?

Well, what is intuitive is to have a true display without any visual offset ;-) So I found a turnaround, in the monitor view : - I disabled the "Use DIM for PFL" option - instead I lower the main monitor level to -12dB - and I raised the "trim source" to +12dB (it only affect the...

X32 monitor dim applied to meter ?

Hi, when using my headphones for monitoring, I often want to solo a channel to verify its gain on the main solo meter that has a convenient, visible and wide range. I solo/monitor the channel signal PFL. But to protect my ears, I use the "Use DIM for PFL" option, with a -9dB DIM value. But...

Re: Copy send levels from one bus to another ?

Thx pvannatto it works great ! I edited the file for my needs. I also tested the tidbit panel, loading the file and click "->X32", it works too, no ? Why not using this ? I wonder if there is a way to memorize the IP adress of the X32, to avoid typing it everytime ? But the way, it connect...

Re: Copy send levels from one bus to another ?

thanks pvannatto , I will carefully look at this tonight an try it on the X32 ! It will be a huge time saver. Because infact I want to copy most send levels but one or two, so I'll just have to edit this file. BTW, how to you change a line like this : Store 0 /ch/##/mix/07/on 1-32 into a line that w...

Re: Copy send levels from one bus to another ?

hI @pvannatto

thanks for your answer.
I'd like for example to copy all sends level (ch 1-32 + fxrets 1-8) from stereo bus 7-8 to bus 1-2 .
If you could provide an example, I would then probably be able to adapt it to other situations.

Have a nice day.

Copy send levels from one bus to another ?

Hi,

do you have an idea how I can copy all the sends levels that are send to one bus, to the send levels of another another bus ?

Let say, I made a bus with a nice submix for a pair of headphones, and I want to copy the same submix to another pair of headphones...

Re: X32 : optimal gain for studio recording ?

Yes, yes, don't worry, I already took that into account in my recordings of today ! Average at -18 to optimize the digital chain, and very rare transients at -12, no more -6 hitting ! Now that I understand the underlying reason, it's more easy to accept. And by the way, these vumeters deliberatly sh...

Re: X32 : optimal gain for studio recording ?

MJKlein > The concept of louder signals being better is an analog mindset, where the S/N ratio is much different. Really (at first sight) I do not understand that. Let say you record with a ridiculous low level : your waveforms will be very short. It means that you are only using the very last firs...
