Using ADAT and external mixer for the first time - every thing is wildly out of sync

Hi. I have a Tascam Model 16, Presonus 1824c and wanted to expand its I/Os so bought a Behringer ADA8200.

It all connects up fine, but when playing audio through it the separate channels are wildly out of sync with each other. I expected this if I was using, say, different audio cables/connectors, but in the case of this its all going out of the same unit (the ADA), through a set of loom cables, so all the same length etc, all into the same mixer, and even all those channels are out of sync.

It doesn't matter what clock settings I use, the result is the same. Does anyone know whats going on here?

All your pieces have to be using the same clock source.
