Blown fuse

Post by Lewin »

Hello there

I work as a youth music studio manager in the UK and we have a EUROPOWER-PMH5000 that isn't functioning. I have had a tinker and I've deducted all it needs is a new fuse casing, and fuse, in the back of it as it worked for a short while with another fuse casing that I'd bodged into it, until the fuse blew.

Where would I be able to obtain the correct casing and/or has anyone any advice on fixing this unit so the young people I work with can have a functioning desk in their practise room?

thanks in advance

Well great... due to the lack of info we ended up jamming a screw driver in the hole and blew up half the building. Thanks for the help.

Sorry, but we don't have the ability here to fix stupid, or advise thereof.

There IS a valid reason for having fuses... Although in the UK don't you also have a safety fuse in the wall plug itself, that should have protected everything upstream from the shorted connection ? Plus fuse or breaker per electrical circuit in the building?
