A few weeks ago I bought the b205d PA/Monitor speaker, it worked excelent until today.
A few hours ago I plugged my keyboard (as usual) into the front panel (Channel 1) and no audio came out, neither from channel 2.
I went ahead and tried the main in in the back panel and audio comes out but very distorted and it’s unusable.
What can it be and is there a possible fix for this?
Behringer B205D doesn’t work
Re: Behringer B205D doesn’t work
Hi @Pinguinikitz, welcome to our forum. Check to make sure you are plugged into the right jack in the keyboard. I had a similar scenario this last Sunday at my church when we added a keyboard and I inadvertently plugged the cable into the wrong jack. Also change the cable (yes cables can go bad).

Yes! sorry I forgot to mention, I tried different cables and it’s still the same. I also double checked that the jack on my keyboard is really the output jack.

B205d no go. Fault on main board. R1 on mains input has blown to pieces. Does not look like a normal resistor. Think it is a surge resistor or varistor. Cannot find a schematic which shows this component and what it is. It is on the main input to an inline coil. What is it and where can I get one?

I believe the schematics for B212D are on the net. A similar component is probably used in that speaker. You could check it out.
Edit: the B205D schematics *are* available on the net. Google is your friend there. As for R1 symbol in the PSU line, see the ISO chart below, it may help. Worse comes to worst, replace it with a fuse .

I am a super partner with Music Tribe. I can check service manuals, but can not give them out.Pcrackers wrote: ↑Mon Jul 22, 2024 4:25 pm B205d no go. Fault on main board.
