X32 : quick way to reset channel ?

Post by DaveH »

Hi,

Is there a quick way to reset a channel to its basic settings (all off, flat, etc...)

Note that I know that I could make a snippet or a preset... ;-)

Hey Dave @DaveH , the way I do it is to select an unused channel, copy, then paste to the channel I want reset. There is no "reset channel"

Ok thanks @pvannatto . Nice to see your here. This forum is more easy to browse than the Musictribe forum... ;-)

I am a newbie but another way is to select a channel that is set to its initialize state and save it in the channel library called "Default Channel Input". then you can select a channel you want to reset and load it from the library.

Yes, I also came to this solution, but I'd like to put have this default "flat" channel at the top of my library, so that I would not have to browse all the list to find it. That's why I asked in another post a way to rearange the order of these library lists ;-) But Paul gave me a constructive answer. Thx for your help.

This is why I suggested (on the Trello board) that the lists of things like presets could be scrolled by page.

I wouldn't expect there to be an OEM solution for library management beyond X32 Edit.

BTW, I'm surprised that XEdit does replicate everything of the X32 (in both direction if needed, with the sync button PC <-> Mixer).

Everything BUT the library or scenes lists. If I create a library preset on Xedit, it won't load into mixer. And neither in the other way. I wonder why.
Strangely, it works with snipets : snipets created on Xedit appear on the mixer snipets list...

Or am I missing something simple ? (Paul already shows me the trick for

I TOO am fighting with this.

Seems like a simple easy way to edit all my presets and take out the stock "junk"... but can't seem to get it to sync.
