About chokes, I read this, so I wonder if they are efficient in our case.

It all depends upon what is causing your failures. If you have a nearby medium-wave broadcast station, that's a consideration. All of my high quality USB cables (and even my extension cables) have chokes. As for length, the shorter you can use, the better, generally speaking.

I narrowed a little bit the problem :
it really seems to be in relation with the USB cable.
I have no radio around, just the studio stuff with lots of cables (220V power cables and audio cables).
Of course WIFI in the house (but not close) and smartphones around...

It seems that I cannot use any 3m cable without problem. (I have several of them). Strange because they were working fine on my MOTU interface (8ins/8outs)...
I just found one 1.5m long cable with 1 choke that seems to be stable. And it's a very old printer cable !!!

Recently I bought several so-called "shielded" / "armored" beand-new USB cables, designated for high speed -> deconnexions.
The fun fact is that, most of the time, the deconnexion occurs when I play a music on my DAW. The sudden increase of bandwidth seems to ruin the connection.

For the rest , the driver seems to work fine, I tested multitrack recording and playing, with no pops/dropouts at 256 samples.
