MX3242 power supply

Post by dragos051 »

The power supply from my MX3242 is overheating. 2 of the 4 power transistors overheat like crazy. I've changed all 4 of them in hope that that would solve my issue. No result. Added bigger radiator and cooling fan. Still no. Also, the transformer overheats to the point you can't touch it(in load). I unplugged the board, the transformer stil gets warm to the touch but not that hot. It also draws about 60mA from the mains when unplugged, which I think is alright. My question is, does anyone have the schematic for the power supply, or know how can I find it? Already emailed behringer but I'm not hoping for any response from them. Thanks!

Don't know about the MX3242 ... but on the Eurodesk MX3282, the power supply components are not transistors, but regulators (LM337, 7805 and 7812)

Yes regulators I'm in the wrong here. Two lm 317, one 337 and a 7810.also I'd like to point out that everything else works fine
