Behringer Wing to DP48 questions

Post by gregcscc »

Hello, everyone.

I just got a new Wing. I was using a Midas M32 > AES50B out directly to a daisy chain of (6) DP48s. I also have 3 of the behringer p16s. They all work really well.

How do I do this in the Wing with the DP48s and the P16s? TIA!

You will need a stagebox like the S16, sd16 etc that has a p16 port, those output aes50 33-48 from their ultranet ports. Then assign whatever you want from the P16m’s to those 16 aes ch’s on whatever port is used from the Wing to connect the stagebox. Should do it.

I have 3 actually. 2 DL 16s and 1 S16 that are daisy-chained. I'm using AES50C for my DP48s.

How do I assign from the Wing with that configuration?

Thanks!

@gregcscc, go to the Routing, AES50 C, Outputs and assign the desired signals to the 48 channels.

Gotcha. Thanks!

What about the P16s? Since I'm daisy-chaining the 3 stageboxes, how do I route from there to the P16s? Thanks!

All the DL boxes ultranet ports output aes50 33-48. Assign what you need in the P16m’s to aes50 33-48 on the port you are using. To be clearer, if all stagebox are daisy chained from say The Wing A port. Use Aes50A and whatever is assigned to ch’s aes50a 33-48 from the Wing routing menu will get output from the stagebox ultranet port, all the stage boxes will do that.

If you're not using the User Signals sources for other things, I found it easiest to use the first 16 as my "Ultranet Outputs." I mapped those 16 to 33-48 1:1. User signals allow for direct outs, so I can pass along the channel EQ instead of sending the raw input signal.
It also gave me one location go for routing Ultranet like I had on my X32.
