XR16 iPhone app fir in-ear mixing

Post by Dukiebabe »

I filled-in for a bass player last night. The band uses an XR16 so I searched the web for an iPhone app to download so I could mix my earbuds but nothing worked. The guys in the band were using XAir but it’s no longer available. HELP!

Hi @Dukiebabe, welcome to the forum. All remote apps control the XR16 (all X-Air consoles) via wifi using the OSC protocol. This only controls (faders, mutes, etc.) the console similar to how your TV's remote works. No audio passes from the console to the app. For audio, I would suggest you use something like a Behringer P1 connected to one or two Aux outputs of the XR16.

For a mixing app, the best one to use is Mixing Station.
