@pmaillot I find it somewhat better than what it was before, I'm talking better than a few weeks ago. I am not defending them/it BUT it may need a few weeks to get the kinks out, maybe more. I would be astounded if it didn't given their obsession with that format and how it has worked each time before when they retooled. I think this may be the 3rd majpr forum overhall since they RUINED what was once a well functioning and easy to use forum. I notice with extreme interest the lack of MT employees who answered many questions over the last few years. Wonder if they all were let go?? Not smart timing since an array of those people could assist users in adjusting. Quite a few were very good with their answers. I rarely used it before so it's not a huge loss...BUT we still need it for registering our products and service "tickets". IF that got improved it would be a good thing because it was IMO very bad and very tedius to use before. It must be run by Uli's brother in law, anyone else would surely have been fired by now...or would they.

I like to help out where I can but I was left wondering "Is an XR18 a digital mixer, a digital rack mixer, or a digital stagebox mixer?". The answer was "yes", it is a mixer, so why so many sub-categories? If I was confused, new users have to be majorly intimidated.

Edit: OK, User Error. I can click on the "Mixers" category and see all of the messages in all of the sub-categories. Not a lot of content. It doesn't look like any of the old messages got moved to the new forum, so we'll be answering the same questions all over again.

phpbb is the world's most implemented forum software. I didn't choose it for beauty, I chose it because most people are likely to have used it before on another forum. That being said, I think it could use a new theme or 2.

Like I said before, I don't think there was any user input into that forum layout. The really nice thing about phpbb themes is they are really easy to back-out and they don't impact the underlying database at all. Adding a couple of user selectable themes and getting feedback can be done while still maintaining the current interface.

Right, plus each user can select the theme they want to see.

Thank you! $$ isn't the issue as much as I have no idea what would be a good theme. I did buy a theme for another phpbb site, but when I installed it, the theme didn't look as good as it did on the demo site. Suggestions are encouraged.
