FLOW 8 snapshots

I have successfully created snapshots on the Flow 8, which I am controlling using the footswitch function - BUT if I need to adjust (say) a monitor or main out level for a given channel, these adjusted levels revert back to where they were as soon as I call up another snapshot.
This means I do not have the flexibility to be able to amend levels on the fly, without having to save them into each individual snapshot - which is not practical in a live performance situation.
The 'What To Load' tick boxes I have ticked are:
CH
FX
If I untick CH (leaving FX ticked), the send levels I change STAY changed, and only the saved effect is recalled (i.e. not the channel sends)
Conversely, if I untick FX (leaving CH ticked), the levels I change DO NOT stay changed (rather they reflect the saved snapshot), but the saved effect is not recalled.
I have tried various other combinations of the tick boxes, but whatever I try, I cannot get the saved effect AND sends to reflect the snapshot as well as being able to amend channel main/monitor volumes on the fly.
Any ideas?
