wxfade 6.5 oddity
wxfade 6.5 oddity
Same laptop, firmware version (1.12.8), wxfade version (6.5) and files from earlier this year. It was working great then, but today, it's only syncing SOME of the lines to the console. And it's not consistent. I can close the app, clear the buttons, reopen the app, and a different set of labels appear. If it doesn't have a label, it doesn't work, so I figure the command is not actually there.
THoughts anyone? @pmaillot ?
/wxfade -vi -l10 -F littlewomen-1-1.txt

Using wapi ver: 1.33
WING found at IP: 192.168.0.1
FIle attached.

Re: wxfade 6.5 oddity
Could it be the firmware? It’s possible they “downgraded “ it and I was not aware
Re: wxfade 6.5 oddity
Hello,
wxfade 6.5 is compiled with FW options/capabilities for FW 1.13.3 so that may be the issue.
I strongly encourage you to upgrade your FW to 1.13.3 for use with wxfade 6.5.
1.13.9 will work with the soon to come wxfade 6.6 (probably this week for Windows versions).
All these are due to internal changes in the actual names and parameters of the WING FW, which is undergoing a few structural changes to make a show/scenes/snippet/preset full system (so for a good cause!).

Re: wxfade 6.5 oddity
@pmaillot ,
Thanks. In the middle of tech week, so I can't really upgrade firmware now, but I'm running the next show too, so I can do it then. I can test out 6.6 on macOS Ventura (13.5) when you have that in a few weeks. I don't run all the shows, and unfortunately doing something as simple as accounting for an AUX 2 music input from USB is beyond comprehension. Hence the full rollback of everything including firmware.

Re: wxfade 6.5 oddity
@pmaillot, do you by chance have the 6.6 version ready for macOS? Closed the show and can update the firmware now.
Re: wxfade 6.5 oddity
I'm dependent & waiting for my friend to come back from vacation to compile wapi and the app mac versions. I'll update as soon as possible.
Re: wxfade 6.5 oddity
@pmaillot Looks like the firmware downloads only have 1.13.7 before going back down to 1.12. If all you need is to run a Make file or the like, I could do that too if you would like.
Re: wxfade 6.5 oddity
takes more than a makefile, which i have of course. it's the full source code you'd need to have access to.
Looks like there will (very) soon be a new fw major release. Probably best to wait for that.

Re: wxfade 6.5 oddity
Understood. Thanks for the update! Tech for the new show starts Sept. 2nd, so I have till then to see if the new firmware comes out, or just test 13.7 with wxfade 6.5.
Re: wxfade 6.5 oddity
version 6.6 has been uploaded.
