I'm having a cabling issue with my UMC1820 and an old 90's Mackie mixing desk.
I attached a diagram so it's easier to see how it's cabled at the moment.
The issue is: when I play audio on the Mac and I'd like to hear it thru the woofer and monitors, I'm getting a very distorted noise.
Probably because there's a loop in the cabling...
But what's the correct way of cabling this then?
I'd like to:
1) Hear my DAW's audio thru the UMC and Mackie, to the woofer and monitors
2) Record the audio from the synths (hooked up to the Mackie), into the DAW on my Mac
So in an ideal world I want to use VST's together with my hardware synths...
