Question: X Air XR18 MainMix

Hi all,

I am (very) new to the XR18 and X-Air-Edit sorry for asking simple things!

Our Guitarist needs to hear the MainMix on his (Monitor)Bus - how can I achive this?
Can someone please explain how this can be configured?

Hi Det,
Do you mean exactly the main mix as it is, or the main mix then with something added?
If it is the main mix exactly as is, then either:
1. Set the Aux bus used for his monitor to post fader and set the faders on his bus to 0dB. You then can change the master volume feeding his monitor without changing the FOH volume using the mixer.
2. Link through from a FOH speaker to his monitor (or the other way around, whatever is practical) and control the volume on his monitor.

You can use option 1 above to start from the main mix position, and then make subtle changes to suit using the faders for his monitor mix (eg. turn down one particular thing he doesn't want as much of).

thanks for the detailed description. It is indeed option 1.
I will give it a try this evening. As I mentioned, I am pretty new to the XR18 and XR-Edit.
