Re: New Neve Compressor/Limiter Clone
I think that is one of the choices for the internal channel Comps on the WING and available in the compressor slot for all of the input channels. t is called the EVEN Comp/Lim, Neve spelled backwards Comp/Lim. I have never tried it.
Re: New Neve Compressor/Limiter Clone
If that is in the Wing, it would be across the 2-mix permanently.

Re: New Neve Compressor/Limiter Clone
Yes it is one of the channel strip emulated compressor options. But it is only a single channel (not dual). This means that it can be applied to any channel strip (chan inputs, buses, matrix, and mains) without using up any FX slots. All of these emulators are designed to handle mono, mid-side (chan inputs) and stereo signals correctly. George Dougherty's Wing FX plugins Summary briefly describes this compressor. If anyone has experience with it and can provide more details, I'll be glad to add it to that post.
Could you elaborate on that (not sure what you mean)?

Re: New Neve Compressor/Limiter Clone
I would put it across the Main stereo bus output, as I would on an analog console back in the day. I would record my mixed through it.

Re: New Neve Compressor/Limiter Clone
You're saying the Wing channel strip version will handle a stereo signal but not with independent controls for L/R?

Re: New Neve Compressor/Limiter Clone
Thanks Paul. It's pretty transparent. I'm definitely getting one for my Mastering chain.
