Problem Attaching Screenshots

Hi MJ, is there a limit on how many photos can be inserted into a post? Three times I had a problem with the editor failing to attach more than three screenshots. I shrunk them down to less than 20kB each but that did not help. No error messages, it just didn't add more files beyond three.

Eight would cover most single console routing screenshots. Twelve should take care of
two console routing.

I'm not very good at the visual stuff at all, what is a good program (or method) to use to reduce the quality (also what quality is best ) so photos can be attached?

I'm typically displaying the pic I want to upload and set it to the size I want with playing with the window corners. Then I use the Windows snap tool to take the part I want. Et voila

I use paint.net. It's free to try (donation-ware) and comprehensive. If the original image is large (say > 600 pixels wide), I use the Image -> Resize menu option to drop it to a more reasonable size. I then save the image as a png file. If it is still too big, I save it as a jpg file and adjust the jpg Quality to achieve a better size. paint.net's jpg save-as window shows the expected file size. Most screenshots are still fairly clear with jpg quality of 30%.

I heard of an extension that apparently takes your attachments and uploads them to a hosting site and then links. I'll look into that.

Google photos works well too.

It works. Add image to post link on bottom left below composing window. You can use the file browser or just drag & drop.

The direct attachment still works too.
