Station stopped working after Firmware and app update

HI all.
Not sure this is the right place to seek assistance. The Mixing Station (MS) website doesn't have a support option.
Scenario.
Three weeks ago updated MR18 to firmware V1.2 Hardware V1.
Last weekend tried to use MS on an Android tablet at a gig and it reported 'Wrong Firmware", "Continue?". I tried to continue but app was uncharacteristically unreliable. The app froze almost immediately and did not control the mixer. I gave up and used M-Air-Edit on a Windows tablet for the gig. Fine.
Today updated all apps on the Android tablet, including MS. MS now at v1.9.2(293).
Now the app will not connect to the MR18.
Choosing X/M Air then the correct IP address MS synchronizes to 8% and ceases. After a few seconds
Error: Sync Failed
No reply for /fxsend/4/eq/on
This may be caused by a bad connection
Any and all advice on how to troubleshoot and correct will be appreciated.
