That being said, one is NOT enough to light the desk IMO. I attached a 12" dimmable LED(amazon) with a hood I made out of aluminum and painted black using velcro to attach so it's easily removed if necessary, and that combined iwth the supplied lamp lights the desk nicely.

As the second image shows the desk is well lit with no glare off screen or reflections off the desk surface.
