Just diving into the DP48...
I would like to expand monitoring on stage,
and freeing up the monitor mixbusses of the X32Core...
and use them for 'stereo sub groups'
thus my questions...
DP48 without HUB4, can they be cascaded ?
and be controlled from X32-Edit attached to the X32Core ?
If I understand , 1 DP 48 delivers 2 stereo mixes,
and they appear also as mono line outs for i.e. wedges
So for 6 mixes I would need 3 x DP48 ?
inputs 33 - 48 can be ?
ahh...forgot :
Will there be remote preamp control for S16 stageboxes
in future FW ?
Thanks
and
best regards

DP48 features...
Re: DP48 features...
Yes. But they must be powered with either the included wall-warts or a POE injector.
Depends on what you mean by "controlled". The Library, AES50 broadcasting of the settings will work. All 48 channels can be assigned on the Routing, AES50 for the DP48.and be controlled from X32-Edit attached to the X32Core ?

Yes, on the back of the DP48, there are 2 headphone (IEM) outputs (one for each mix), plus 2 line outputs.and they appear also as mono line outs for i.e. wedges
Yes, as long as the musicians are in close proximity to each other so that 2 can access each unit to make their personal adjustments. So for 6 mixes I would need 3 x DP48 ?
The DP48 has access to all 48 channels of the AES50.These can be assigned to the 12 groups via the console's Library, AES50 setup or on the DP48 itself (in Edit mode).inputs 33 - 48 can be ?
If you mean in the console, it's already there (in Setup, preamps screen). If you mean in the DP48, I highly doubt it, since they are designed to be used in conjunction with a Behringer or Midas console. Will there be remote preamp control for S16 stageboxes
in future FW ?

Re: DP48 features...
Thank you Paul !
So for my needs a second X32... would be better...
or could something smaller fit and use the AES50 stream ?
( don't know about AES50 compatible products ... )
Thanks
Klaus

Re: DP48 features...
Could you explain what you want to accomplish? There may be a few options, depending on your desired setup.

Re: DP48 features...
as I said,
X32Core as the main FOH mix,
and ... for monitors,
... = as per your advice,
controlable from the X32-Edit / X32Core and AES50 compatible if possible,
X-UF card is used for recording...
eventually X-Dante could make it possible ?
But then I'd need another computer to record on -
the X-UF works really well with the same Macmini3,1 / X32-Edit and Digital Performer
to record 32 tracks via Firewire...
Thanks for advice

but then I need to create pf mixes for the lost monitor mixes,

Re: DP48 features...
@Klaus, I guess what is confusing me is why you need another X32 (or whatever). If you already have an X32 Core connected to stageboxes (using one of the AES50 ports), all you need to do is to connect the DP48 to the X32 Core using the other AES50 port and send them the same inputs that are assigned to the X32 Core (Routing, Inputs). Then in each DP48, the musicians can assigned their desired inputs to the 12 groups. All of the mixing is done in the DP48 itself, eliminating the need for any mixbus pairs (in the X32 Core).

Re: DP48 features...
Thanks Paul for reply
Sorry if I was unclear...
- I am controlling the monitor mixes ( not the artist,
at least for now... )
- For 6 - 8 mixes I will need 3-4 DP48s
I'm trying to find the cheapest way...
- should be fully controllable by X32-Edit
- AES50 compatible
i.e. S16s > DP48s > CAT > X32-Core ( X32-Edit )
Thanks for suggestions

Re: DP48 features...
Now I understand. Unfortunately, X32-Edit can't control the mixes in DP48. Same with P16. They are designed as personal mixers.
One solution to add 6-8 mixes and control them with X32-Edit is to get a M32C (or a used X32-Core), an SD8 (for 8 outputs) and some Behringer P1 (personal IEM amps).

Re: DP48 features...
Thanks Paul
I'll check if re-routing via Ultranet / User out
and using the FOH Sub group mixbusses pre
would give me the results,
using another S16 that I have and only 1 X32C
Best regards
