Midas M32 At 96k?

Yeah, the literature says it's "future proof" at 96k. Did that ever happen? I am under the impression that the X32 is identical to the M32 with the exception of the fast faders. The X32 cannot operate at 96k but can the M32 operate at 96k?

Nope. The X32 and M32 DSP engine is identical, just with different skins (coloring, etc.). Don't believe everything MT publishes.

@MJKlein @pvannatto And they pretty much thwarted the fast faders too, they used to be almost violently fast. One fine firmware update loaded a fader related piece. It was an 07 of something 3.07? Never been the same since. There were speed options but fast was not as fast. So now it’s just another pretty face and the new ones no longer have the 10 year bumper to bumper either, same 3 yr warranty as B. Mine still has several years left of the 10…but get this, in the “new” forum switchovers, they LOST my registration (besides their minds) Don’t get me wrong it’s still a really nice desk. No 96k tho. BTW they said ‘don’t worry’ it’s a Midas, you will be covered if there is an issue. Sure they will, I just know it I do have my receipt tho!

Wow @garyh I did not know about the faders or the warranty, but that's a shame on both counts.

So it looks like you can't go 96 kHz in the MT/Behringer realm until you get into the Heritage-D HD96 dollar range. Thanks guys.

The new Heritage Air looks like a monster but also with a monster price, estimate is 50% of the HD96 so that seems to be in the 20K list range. Looks mighty nice tho. I want 3 but I'll settle for none. Bet that gets you a 10 year warranty...but maybe no.

I want one of these which are quite reasonable, ProAudioStar offered up around $900, It's 96k dual band WiFi. If it had a Dante option, I would have one already.
