Re: Controlling the XR18 with the Motor 49 Keyboard
The only real issue is, I don't see how you can control the mix of the monitors. You can control the level of the send faders, but not the individual channels on the aux sends... It is way better than nothing... but comes up short... Yeah, the monitor are only controllable via OSC or MIDI SYSEX. I ...

Re: Controlling the XR18 with the Motor 49 Keyboard
It worked. Set the DIN Tx and communication goes both ways on midi!!! I'm going to try my x32 next and see if it has the same issue when I was trying to control it before Glad to hear you got it working. Sorry, I had a mental block. You were saying DIN but my testing was with USB MIDI. While it doe...

Re: Controlling the XR18 with the Motor 49 Keyboard
Yeah, I'm going to play around with this a little later today. I agree that it's not too useful to only have one-way midi, so something isn't right here.

Re: Controlling the XR18 with the Motor 49 Keyboard
Let me see if I can figure out what is going on in the video. Based on my testing, there's no MIDI messages generated when a control is changed with OSC messages. Might be a config setting that's different.

Re: Controlling the XR18 with the Motor 49 Keyboard
Welcome to the forums Blackheart . Unfortunately, MIDI control is only one-way. There is no feedback from the XR18 via MIDI. At least not as a result of OSC messages, which is what the app uses. A while back I helped someone get this working with TouchOSC serving as a man-in-the-middle. The MIDI fro...

Re: Noise on analog channels when first powered on
Good suggestion. Thanks pvannatto That goes along with my plan to disconnect all of the analog cables and see if it happens tomorrow morning. I'll do both and report back. I'm only using 6x connections at the moment. Also, I did notice the AUX In did not show any noise even though it is set to A/D a...

Noise on analog channels when first powered on
I have an XR18 in my office that has recently developed a problem. Well, at least I think it's the XR18. I power off the XR18 and powered studio monitors every night and power them back on in the morning. Lately, within 1-2 minutes of powering up, all of the analog channels have an audible white noi...

Re: xr18: best way to control fx fader
Just to add, you can also send any OSC message to an XR18 using MIDI SYSEX.

Re: xr18: best way to control fx fader
I know of a performer who uses the MIDI baby footswitch by Disaster Area Designs. It appears to be highly programmable, but I haven't played with it. I also know another performer who uses a button on TouchOSC to send the OSC message to his XR18.

Re: XR18 & X-Touch Compact - A Solution
@Karnage Thank you for this. I noticed that the Layer B works the same as A. Is there a way for layer b to control input 9 to 16? I'd suggest you use the X-Touch Editor to save off the current settings (as a backup) and then restore the B layer using the default settings files providing with the ed...
